Bharat India-Aid helps to find sponsor parents for children at eight orphanages in India. Most of the children are fully orphans while others are semi orphans. Some of them can occasionally have some contact with one parent or other relatives. The financial support for a sponsored child will provide food, clothing, health care and education for them. Besides the financial support the sponsorship also has another importance. The sponsor can via letters and photos have a direct contact with the sponsored child. This contact will bring a feeling to the child that there is some one who loves and care for them. Every Orphanage has a correspondent who is both financially responsible as well as for the welfare of the children. The correspondent will send at least two reports a year about the child. Bharat India-Aid has a sponsor representative for each orphanage who keeps in close contact with the Orphanage.
How much is the sponsor fee for a child?
The support for a child in an orphanage will cost 175 Swedish kronor (22 US$) per month and 100 Swedish Kronor (12 US$) for a child who lives with their parents but who most of all need help for education. When you have signed for being a sponsor you will receive photo and bio-dates of the child. You will also receive information how you can make the payment for the sponsorship. Payment can be made monthly, quarterly or yearly.
