Trppaadam Service Society
Trppaadam Service Society was established in 1972 by Fr Gabriel. The society is working in different fields among the poor villages in the southern state of Kerala. Fr Gabriel who expired a few years back but the centre is still run by the Bethany Mission (catholic church) priests, brothers and sisters. Fr.Justin is in charge of the centre. Their aim is to raise the standard of living for the poorest of the families. The centre provides healthcare, education and jobs for hundreds of young women. The centre is also running an old age home for abandoned elderly and mentally handicapped people who were picked up from the streets and in very bad condition. Bharat Aid has been supporting the centre for many years and couple of years back also started a sponsoring program for children to help them with their education. These sponsored children are all living with their parents but due to poverty and uneducated parents they are not able to go to schools. With a small support from Bharat Aid these children will be able to go to schools, get a school uniform and books. Fr. Justin and the sisters are continuously in contact with the families to see how the children are doing.
